Guidelines for Special Session Proposals
We invite proposals for special sessions aligned with the conference themes. Each proposal should include:
- A session title
- Aim and scope, including a list of key topics
- Names and affiliations of all organizers
- A short biography (100–150 words) for each organizer
- (Optional) A list of potential contributors
Acceptance decisions will be sent within two weeks of submission. Accepted sessions will be listed on the conference website.
To ensure thematic coherence, the organizing committee may merge similar proposals at its discretion.

Special Session on ‘Social Science and Economic Approaches Towards Sustainable Development’
Aims of the Special Session
This special session brings together economists, social scientists, and policy researchers to explore how socioeconomic frameworks and policy instruments can advance sustainable development. It aims to highlight innovative approaches that reconcile environmental protection with economic growth—particularly in areas such as waste management, green energy, and sustainable urban systems—and to promote actionable insights for policymakers and practitioners.Theme Topics (not limited to)
1. Socioeconomic and environmental impacts of construction waste and management practices.2. Economic consequences, financial risk assessment, and ecological losses under polluted environments.
3. Environmental policy aimed at mitigating pollution and maintaining ecosystem sustainability.
4. Benign economic conditions for renewable energy for carbon neutrality and a sustainable city.
5. Economic benefits and business opportunities of green building.
This special session is now open for submission and registration. Please submit your abstract/full paper via the Submission System and choose the option of "Special Session on Social Science and Economic Approaches Towards Sustainable Development". After that, you can make the conference registration directly via the Registration Page or the conference secretary will contact you for further information.

Prof. Yoshihiro HamaguchiProfessor of Macroeconomics at Hannan University, Osaka, Japan

Dr. Yoshihiro Hamaguchi received his PhD from Osaka University in March 2020 and currently serves as Professor of Macroeconomics at Hannan University, Osaka, Japan. His research aims to identify the mechanisms of sustainable development, utilizing macroeconomic theories of economic growth and analytical methods from international and political economics. His research to date has elucidated how environmental policies can lead to pollution reduction and economic growth through innovation and he has applied his findings to the pollution hypothesis, sustainable tourism and sustainable finance. He has received several research grants from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), reported his research at numerous peer-reviewed international conferences and published in the Journal of Macroeconomics, Tourism Economics, Transport Policy, Frontiers in Marine Science, China & World Economy, Environment, Development and Sustainability, Journal of Environmental Management, among others. Some of these papers were commended for obtaining the highest number of citations in a year. He is currently actively pursuing collaborative research with researchers around the world.
